LCD Clock - Clock & Calendar App Reviews

I rather like this app. Its simple, but not too simple and it looks just plain cool. The only thing I dont like is changing the settings can be problematic because its not entirely clear where to touch and if youre not exactly on the spot its buggy. Worth $1 easily and it looks great sitting on my desk in the dock with the app running.

Please add Julian date. In the industry and in the military the use of Julian date is necessary. I have not found any decent applicetion that provides Julian date. I purchased your app and what would make it perfect for me and many of my co-workers is for it to have Julian date displayed. Its only three characters so it can fit anywhere in the main display. A Julian date month calendar option would be nice and an elegant way of converting dates.

I really think this is one of the nicest clock applications out there. Im currently tweaking my iPhone brightness and this app brightness to see how well I can darken the unlit portion of the screen with the red display. Hopefully I can get it where the phone auto-brightens during the day, and dims appropriately at night by my bed. One request if its possible... Can an option be added to have this application come on when it is set on the charging dock? It would be cool to just be able to set the phone down at night and have the clock appear. Other than that its great. Good job!

I have several of these kinds of apps and this is the best looking and it functions great. I like that it has so many settings that make it very customizable. The only thing I would like but isnt essential is the ability to play music with the alarm. Oh well... It is still so great as is.

this application is not user friendly. I said it identified holidays but it does not have any labels on them. It also does not label the months. I immediately deleted it from my phones menu.

The graphic design is REALLY nice and the green LCD looks almost perfect but the whole effect is ruined by the yellow numbers for Sundays. LCD clocks dont have anything like that! What were they thinking??? And why would anyone want Sundays highlighted anyway? So weird. And the sliding calendar isnt realistic at all either... just make it change months like a real display. Other than that and the fact that the special red is actually horrible pink I love it.

A somewhat great app -- used it on vacation and worked perfectly until I received a txt message while asleep. After the txt appeared on screen, the app just went black / phone went to sleep. Youd think this would have been tested or updated already -- please fix.

Is there a way to leave your phone on silent (so I dont hear email notifications at night) but still hear the alarm? When the phone is set to silent the alarm cannot be heard. Is this an Apple app rule that cannot be overridden? Otherwise, very nice, clean app. Thanks!

Keeps on crashing..... unistalled and downloaded a free one... much better.

The sleep button needs to be the entire screen IMHO, not just a button that pops up. Other alarm apps have this, and I think its a fantastic feature to have since to "turn off" the alarm, you simply exit the application, obviously. So there is no need for any other button there, just make the screen a giant sleep button like with goodNite, and you will have a 5-Star solid application here. Also, make the snooze adjustable time wise (in 1 minute increments). Again, do that, and its a 10-Star app!!!

I just wasted 99 cents. The description tells me that the application supports local push notifications for alarms. Ive been trying for 20 minutes - even after insuring that "Push Notifications" is turned on in Settings. Doesnt work no matter what. The applications also crashes whenever you try to change the clock appearance. Seconds dont go by smoothly. On my brand new iPhone 4 the clock would jump by between 2 to 4 seconds at a time. I want my money back. Dont waste yours.

It would be great if the next version has the ability to display times from two time zones, a local one and a home time.

The screen is too cluttered for my purposes. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the reviews ( which I failed to do) to see what youre going to be seeing.

pretty to look at but would be FAR more useful if some of the features COULD have been worked into the actual interface rather than having to invoke contextually incongruent pop-up menus. like swipe the time left to right to change colors. and swipe up and down to change brightness...
